Peer-Reviewing Workshop | Education, Training and Development – Geneva
An in-depth author’s workshop took place in Geneva on 23-24 September 2013. It was co-organized by International Development Policy and the NORRAG Network in order to review and discuss the articles for a special issue on ‘Education, Training and Development’, which will be published in 2014. The guest editors of this issue are Michel Carton and Kenneth King of NORRAG.
The workshop brought together around 20 experts in the field of education and development from a variety of academic disciplines and with different geographic origins. Next to constructive discussions about the articles, the workshop featured the book launch of Kenneth King’s new book “China’s aid and soft power”, which was followed by a NORRAG roundtable on “The Brave New World of Data for Education and Development”. Next to the workshop participants, practitioners from a variety of Geneva-based organizations attended this debate.
