Authors Gabriela Agosto and Fabiana Rubinstein introduce their chapter “Migration and the 2030 Agenda in Argentina”. The chapter explores Argentina’s efforts towards complying with the 2030 Agenda’s criterion of leaving no one behind, and the challenges the country faces to achieve this goal in relation to migration management, such as overcoming inequality related to migrants’ incorporation into and full participation in the labour market. This chapter is part of the 14th thematic volume of International Development Policy: “Governing Migration for Development from the Global Souths”. This issue provides perspectives through case studies from the global South(s) focusing on the challenges and opportunities of governing migration on the subnational, national, regional and international levels.
