Authors’ Workshop | Alternatives from Latin America – Geneva
From the 25-26th January, 2016, an eclectic group of authors and editors from Latin America met for an authors’ workshop at the Graduate Institute, Geneva,
to discuss articles for International Development Policy’s forthcoming special issue which will focus on this region for the first time.
Entitled ‘Alternative pathways to sustainable development: lessons from Latin America’, the issue will gather insights around common concerns such as the impact of extractive industries and the boom and bust cycle, and social and economic development in orthodox and unorthodox countries.
Under the expert guidance of two guest editors, Humberto Campodonico (Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Peru) and Sergio Tezanos Vazquez (Univeridad de Cantabria, Spain), as well as Gilles Carbonnier, Editor-in-Chief of the journal, the special issue is set to be launched in 2017 and will feature content in Spanish as well as English.
